I hope everybody had a great 4th of July weekend. I did! But now my heart is back in Egypt and I have another great clip to share.
Egyptian Belly Dancer Fifi Abdou
I chose this week's clip because it goes really nicely with last week's. Last week I showed Hiyatim dancing a beledi. This one is Fifi Abdou dancing a beledi. Once again, there is a drum solo at the end, and once again you can see the more subtle way it is danced by this Egyptian legend.
I have heard a joke repeated often about Fifi: does she do one move, or does she do two? She is one of the greatest belly dancers ever. She doesn't cram every move into her dances, she takes a couple and varies them brilliantly and beautifully. I hope you enjoy this one!
