For my last post of 2016, I want to share a favorite clip of a favorite Egyptian belly dancer dancing to a favorite song of mine. So here we have Dina!
I love this performance because it is soft and understated. She isn't over-dancing, she is subtle. She is interpreting the words of the song. But the famous Dina playfulness is also there, especially in the costume choice - that super short dress! We spend the whole time kind of wondering if we're going to see something we're not supposed to, and this is another Dina trademark. Of course we don't, she knows exactly what she's doing and she does this all the time with her crazy costumes, but it really does feel like we could at any moment.

Happy Holidays! And here's to lots more belly dance in 2017!!
